ChromaShift is a free, ad-supported puzzle game. This page explains what information the app handles, what leaves your device, and what choices you have.

The short version: we have no servers and no account system. Everything the game knows about you — your level progress, your settings, your boosters — is stored on your own device and never sent anywhere. The one thing that does leave your device is the data Google AdMob collects to serve the ads, described in detail below.

Information We Collect

ChromaShift does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. There is no account, no login, no registration, and no user profile. We operate no backend of any kind, so there is nowhere for your information to be sent to us — and we never receive it.

The app contains no analytics SDK and no crash-reporting SDK. We do not track how you play.

Local Data Storage

The game stores the following on your device only:

  • Level progress, stars earned, and which levels are unlocked
  • App settings (sound effects, music, daily reminder)
  • Booster counts (Smash and Halve) and your star-chest progress
  • Daily gift claim date and the expiry of a +Moves boost
  • Tutorial progress flags
  • A record of when the app last asked you to rate it

This data is kept in your device's local storage. It is never uploaded, never backed up to us, and never shared. You can erase all of it at any time — see Data Deletion below.

Third-Party Services

Google AdMob

We use Google AdMob to show banner ads, occasional full-screen ads between levels, and optional rewarded videos you can choose to watch in exchange for in-game boosters or extra moves.

The Google Mobile Ads SDK automatically collects and shares the following with Google in order to serve, measure, and protect those ads:

  • Approximate location — estimated from your IP address. The app never asks for a location permission and has no access to your precise location, GPS, or address.
  • App interactions — events such as app launches, ad taps, and rewarded-video views.
  • Diagnostics — technical information such as launch time, hang rate, and energy usage.
  • Device and advertising identifiers — including the resettable Android advertising ID (or, on iOS, the IDFA if you allow tracking) and the app set ID.

Google uses this data for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention and security. Google states that data collected by the SDK is encrypted in transit. For details on how Google handles it, see theGoogle Advertising Privacy Policy and theGoogle Privacy Policy.

Google Play In-App Review

After a particularly good level result, the game may ask the store to show its own rating prompt. The app learns nothing from this — not whether a prompt appeared, and not whether or what you rated. Anything you write goes to Google Play, not to us.

Your Choices and Controls

  • Consent (EEA, UK, and Switzerland). On first launch the app shows Google's consent form before any ad loads, letting you choose whether your data may be used for personalised advertising. You can change your answer later from the privacy options in the consent form.
  • App Tracking Transparency (iOS). On iOS the system asks your permission before the app may use the IDFA for tracking. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
  • Resetting your advertising ID (Android). You can reset or delete the advertising ID, and opt out of ad personalisation, inSettings → Google → Ads (the exact path varies by device).
  • Rewarded ads are always optional. Watching one is never required to keep playing, and the game is fully playable offline.

Notifications

If you enable the daily reminder, ChromaShift schedules a notificationon your device to let you know your free gift is ready. There is no push service, no server, and no registration token — nothing about the reminder leaves your device. You can turn it off any time in the game's Settings screen or in your device's notification settings.

Children's Privacy

ChromaShift is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will act on it.

Permissions

The app uses the following permissions:

  • Internet / network state — required to load ads; the game itself works offline
  • Advertising ID — used by AdMob as described above
  • Notifications — for the optional daily gift reminder
  • Vibration — accompanies notifications
  • Run at startup — re-registers your pending reminder after a device restart

The app requests no location, contacts, storage, camera, or microphone permission.

Data Deletion

All game data is stored locally on your device, so you are always in control of it. To delete it:

  • Go to Settings → Apps → ChromaShift → Clear Data, or
  • Uninstall the app

Because we hold no data on any server, there is nothing further for us to delete and no request you need to send us. To remove the advertising identifier used for ads, reset it in your device settings as described above.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
